The University Executive Board (UEB) meets fortnightly during term time and advises the Vice-Chancellor on matters relating to the management and strategic direction of the University.

UEB Terms of Reference 2024-25
The University Executive Board (formally Vice-Chancellor's Executive Group) has a number of management groups which report to it. Please refer to the for details of each of the sub-groups.
Under the University’s system of governance, members of UEB are responsible for the management and development of policy in key areas of University business, for which they are accountable to a lay member of Council, knowledgeable in the same area, who provides assurance to Council that this activity is well-managed.

2025-2026 UEB Meeting Dates & Paper Deadlines
- The University Executive Board (UEB) meet for weekly Monday morning meetings 10:00-11:00 (no papers).
- Full UEB meetings are scheduled fortnightly, and are generally on a Thursday morning 09:00-13:00, unless there is clashing Council business - in which case they will land on a Friday instead. The paper deadlines for these meetings are Wednesday the week prior to the meeting, at 10am. Please submit your paper to UEB-Support@exeter.ac.uk, having gained UEB sponsor assurance.
- In addition to the above, there are UEB Strategic Planning Days at the start of Autumn and Spring terms.
