Reverend Sam Fletcher
Associate Priest (Anglican / Church of England)
Sam is a PhD student in Theology here at Exeter, and an Associate Priest with the Anglican Chaplaincy.
He grew up in Sutton-in-Craven, near Keighley in Yorkshire, then worked for a year as a youth worker in East London. He studied for a BA in Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford, before training for ministry at the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield.
Sam was ordained deacon in 2021 and priest in 2022. He served his curacy in the Benefice of Pontefract (Diocese of Leeds), before moving to Exeter for his doctoral research. He also teaches Christian Doctrine for the College of the Resurrection and St Hild Theological College.
Sam will also be leading our ‘Theology Club’ from September 2025. He is always up for a chat – whether that means a deep-dive into theology, just being a listening ear, or anywhere in between.
